Djavadjavay! My name is Awei, I am a lifelong California waterman and naturalist with Pacific Island roots dedicated to connecting communities with the natural world and to the wild in themselves.

My professional background and experience can be generally divided into these four areas below.

  • Freedive instructor, scuba instructor, dive master, dive guide, competitive swimmer

    Pacific Coast specialized (from Vancouver Island, BC to Baja California)

  • Coastal habitat restoration from kelp forest work in Mendocino, CA to purple hydrocoral community activism in Catalina Island

  • Certified EMT with ER experience, CPR & O2 trained, rescue swimmer, wilderness first responder

  • Scuba, freediving, rock climbing & mountaineering, bushcraft, yoga, creative expression, and holistic medicine
